Dr. Rosalind Osgood: Inspiring Growth and Faith

Dr. Rosalind Osgood Author, Keynote Speaker, and Workshop Facilitator is leading conversations in Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Health, the Journey of Recovery and Resilience, Leadership, Political Determinants of Health, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Women Empowerment, Youth Mental Wellness, and Public Policy.

She formally lived homeless on the streets of Fort Lauderdale while battling with substance use disorder. She is the proud mother of 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren.

She holds both a Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She also earned a Master of Divinity Degree from New Orleans Southern Baptist Theological ATS dully accredited Seminary.  She is also a graduate of Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class 37.

She has over 23 years of experience in Non- Profit Leadership serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Mount Olive Development Corporation. She a Florida Senator for District 32, and an Associate Minister at New Mount Olive Baptist Church Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Dr. Osgood is the former Chair of the Broward County School Board, leading the School Board through theCOVID Pandemic in 2020. She is a Former Adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University Huizenga School of Business teaching leadership, organizational behavior and public policy evaluation. She is the author of three books, “The Story Behind the Story”, “Influential Woman Leader” and Real Talk “Speak Up with Grown Ups”, Children’s book. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Links Incorporated, the Broward Section of the National Council of Negro Women, the South Florida Forum of Black Public Administrators and a Life Member of the Fort Lauderdale Broward Branch of the NAACP. 

She has served on numerous Boards and Committees. Currently, she serves on the Broward Behavioral Health Coalition Board, the Nova Southeastern University Huizenga School of Business Advisory Board, The Florida Council on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys, and Chairs the Faith in Action National Board.
